Free Christmas Crochet Patterns

Fall is here, time is high to start making Christmas decor, if you want to be ready on time!

Recently I realised that I already have quite a few Christmas-related patterns available for free here on my blog, so gathering them all in one blog post would be just one more step for me, and, hopefully – make life easier for you. Before the rush begins…

  1. SCRAP YARN MINI HATS FREE PATTERN

Let’s start small. You might know already that I love using up scrap yarn. I crochet all the time and there’s a lot of it, always. That’s where the idea of tiny hats comes from: they’re perfect as Christmas ornaments or Holiday garland. You can make them in no time, buying no yarn. Find the MINI HAT free pattern HERE.

(There’s one more thing about these cute hats you might like: use them again in Easter time, as egg cozies!)

2. SCRAP YARN STAR ORNAMENTS FREE PATTERN

Another small make, still no additional yarn required, as you might want to mix all the scraps in different colors, while making those Star Ornaments. Feel free to hang the on the Christmas tree, or forget the loop and join them in another Holiday garland.

3. CHRISTMAS STOCKING FREE CROCHET PATTERN in 4 sizes!

We’re still decorating for the Holidays, time for Christmas Stocking for the whole family. That’s why I’ve written the pattern in 4 sizes: big sizes for big family members, small sizes for the small, or – the other way round! Also, think of using the smallest stocking as gift card holder, huh?

4. SANTA BEARD FREE CROCHET PATTERN

Now when the home is fully decorated, let’s talk Santa. Does he come in person? Why not. You can easily become one on Christmas Eve with this easy-to-make fake crochet beard!

5. SHOOTING STAR C2C BLANKET PATTERN FREE

This one is not that small. I called it Shooting Star Blanket, but my idea behind it originated from a very special shooting star – the Star of Bethlehem. Which is obviously a Christmas star… I hope It’ll help you lighten up those darkest days of the year – along with all the lights, candles, carols and family gatherings!

I do have more Christmas patterns, you’ll find them in my shops on Etsy, Ravelry and LoveCrafts. Thanks so much for supporting my small business!

Have a look at this group of funny finger puppets: they were inspired by Polish carol singers. Poland is known for one of the biggest collection of traditional Christmas carols, which are still widely sung starting from Christmas Eve until the end of January. In many regions people still dress up as various characters, such as Death, Angel, Devil or King Herod, and go from cottage to cottage, village to village, singing carols, and wishing everyone Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. You can find the collection of five finger puppets on Etsy HERE, on Ravelry HERE, and on LoveCrafts HERE.
